I started working on STUF nyc (just STUF for short) in 2022 as a way to fill my time after being laid off.  Creativity has always brought me joy but being creative professionally had strained my relationship with design. The unexpected break offered a perfect opportunity for me to reconnect with the creative process and reclaim that love. So I bought a sewing machine and stitched my first pillow out of mirror finish vinyl. And thus STUF was born.

So what is STUF?  STUF is home decor with presence.  STUF is a bit childish and whimsical, but somehow also terribly serious.  STUF has a distinct taste and point of view but is uninterested in chasing ‘tastefulness’.  STUF is tongue in cheek and has a sense of humor.  STUF is design rooted in play and experimentation.  Most of all STUF is a collection of objects I had fun creating not just for other people but also for myself to live with.
